🐱🔥FELINE RESCUE 🔥🐱

This evening, Chiefs responded to a garage on West Caroline Ave for a cat stuck in the wall. Upon arrival, Chief 62 found a cat stuck upside down in an approximately 3 inch space between a concrete and cinder block wall.

After unsuccessful attempts to free Shadow, the Rescue Engine was added to the assignment. Members used the portable spreaders, wedges, and a variety of hand tools to slowly make more space to access the cat.

After a nearly 2 hour extrication time, Shadow was freed and is doing okay back with his family!

Yesterday morning, the Rescue Engine and Squad responded to Darkwater Road for an offroad accident. Members encountered numerous injuries and immediately began patient care. Unfortunately, one person succumbed to their injuries.

The Engine responded to the Ball field to setup a landing zone for 2 helicopters due to other patients from the crash. In the evening, the Engine also responded to a reported tractor trailer fire on Route 61 that was unfounded.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved in yesterday’s incident.
