Another senseless death, may they rest in peace.

Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, Sergeant Isaiah Emenheiser and Detective Mark Baker of the Northern York County Regional Police Department were killed in an ambush that wounded two other officers. The suspect opened fire with a rifle equipped with a suppressor as the officers entered the door.

This is a day that changed the trajectory of my life. It’s what motivated me to join the military! On this day Americans were so united! Everyone came together and had compassion towards each other! Today I wake up to see so much division in our country! Just because you don’t share the same views and opinions as someone else, doesn’t give you the right to be disrespectful. Learn to have adult conversations and still respect those who don’t think like you! That’s what is so beautiful about America, that we have freedom of speech. Use that freedom to bring unity, not division!

Gone but never forgotten…

Today, we honor the ultimate sacrifice made by two of our brother officers, who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their bravery, dedication, and service to the community will never be forgotten.

Gone but never forgotten — may their courage live on in all of us who continue the watch. Our deepest condolences go out to brothers and sisters with KPD and their families, loved ones, and all who served alongside them.
