I could not be more honored to receive the Gun Sense Candidate Distinction from Moms Demand Action. My decision to run to represent House District 35 was driven as a mother of two young daughters. Living in a world where I find myself uttering prayers of protection when I drop my daughters off at school due to the threat of gun violence must change now.
