REMINDER: Starting today, Tuesday, September 8, work will begin to replace the floating dock at the Lakefront Park Marina in St. Cloud.

The floating dock adjacent to the boat ramps will be replaced and will include a guardrail; the boat ramps will remain open during construction, and boaters are urged to use caution during construction. The $281,207 project is expected to be completed by the end of the month.

“We waited until after the Labor Day holiday weekend, since that's typically a big weekend for boating,” said Parks & Recreation Director Stephanie Holtkamp. “We are looking forward to having this improvement made, and we know the boaters will enjoy the new floating dock. During construction, boaters can use the dock at the south end of the Marina to load and unload their boats as needed.”

The contractor for the project is In Depth, Inc. from Bunnell, FL.

Relive the excitement from the Big Red Chair Sprint Triathlon & 5K! Participants took on the sprint triathlon and 5K, while our youngest athletes had the opportunity to swim, bike and run in the Kids Micro Mini, a mini triathlon for children ages 8 and under.

What a great race day! A total of 105 participants crossed the finish line at the Big Red Chair Sprint Triathlon & 5K, including athletes in the first Kids Micro Mini and 5K races.

Road Closure Notice: Budinger Avenue between 17th Street and Nolte Road will be closed this Sunday, September 6, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the Big Red Chair Sprint Triathlon & 5K.

Drivers traveling in the area should plan for the closure and use alternate routes during the event. Please use caution near the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center and surrounding roads, and keep an eye out for athletes who will be running and biking in the area.

The City of St. Cloud's proposed 2026-27 budget marks the first time in more than 30 years the city is not using its reserves to fund operations. The budget also maintains the same millage rate for the 14th consecutive year.

In the latest episode of Cloud Cast, City Manager Veronica Miller and Finance Director Jeff Cooper share highlights of the proposed budget and discuss the financial outlook for the upcoming fiscal year.

The first public hearing on the proposed budget will be held on Thursday, September 10 at 6:30 p.m. A second public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, September 17. Once approved, the budget takes effect October 1.
