JOIN THE FUN!!!

Who says learning about sentence construction can’t be a little rock ’n’ roll?

Our kindergarten students took a trip back to the ’50s for a fun, hands-on literacy lesson! As they explored sentence construction, students practiced connecting words, building meaning, and strengthening their early writing skills by illustrating images that matched the words or sentences they received.

The fun didn’t stop there! Students danced around the classroom, exchanging words and sentences with their classmates, giving them opportunities to collaborate, think critically, and practice reading comprehension in an engaging way.

Building sentences, making connections, and learning with a whole lot of rhythm! At Lakeview Elementary, we believe some of the best learning happens when students can move, create, and learn together.

Pinked out for a purpose! 💖👚

Today, our campus turned into a sea of pink as students and staff came together to honor, support, and raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Together, we are stronger! 💪✨

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to Marsh View Dental Care for stopping by and donating some amazing goodies for our teachers! 🦷🎁 We are so grateful for local partners who pour love and support back into our school community.

🐻 Stuffed Animal Drive for Huck’s Heroes 💙

Lakeview Elementary School is proud to support Huck’s Heroes, a student-led nonprofit dedicated to spreading kindness and bringing comfort to children during difficult moments.

From October 19 - November 2, we will be collecting new or gently used stuffed animals to donate to local fire stations, police departments, sheriff’s offices, and other first responder agencies. These agencies often keep stuffed animals on hand to provide comfort to children they encounter during emergencies, accidents, and other challenging situations. A simple stuffed animal can help a child feel safer and supported when they need it most.

📍 Donation Location: A collection box will be available in the front office throughout the drive for families and students who would like to contribute.

All donated stuffed animals will be carefully cleaned, individually bagged, and distributed to local first responders to use when supporting children in our community.

Every donation, big or small, can make a difference. Thank you for helping us spread kindness, support our first responders, and bring comfort to children when they need it most. ❤️

ESPAÑOL 👇

Our Dolphins showed up with so much pride for Heritage Day! From beautiful traditional outfits to clothing representing countries close to their hearts, our students made this day extra special!

These are just a few of the amazing students we captured this morning. Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, we’ve also been enjoying music from different Hispanic countries and learning about the cultures and traditions that make each one unique.

Did you know? Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15 because several Latin American countries celebrate their independence around this time!

A huge thank-you to our amazing parents and families for helping make this celebration so special. We love seeing our Dolphins proudly represent their heritage!

Have pictures you’d like to share? Post them in the comments or send them to us by private message. We’d love to see them!
