Francis is a community that is still able to provide its residents with a small town feel while in the shadow of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. Francis has been able to blend rural and city living into a unique community of over 7,000 people. Scenic areas along the Rum River and the realization of having one’s own hobby farm have tended to be two of the most common factors that lure people to

this northern Anoka County community. An even mix of urban style residential lots and large acreage hobby farms has provided the city with a number of quality housing developments. Francis area has a variety of recreational opportunities. The Rum River provides an exceptional setting for the canoeing and fishing enthusiasts. Located within the heart of St. Francis, the Rum River North Park provides easy access to the river.

🐾 Tito’s Tasting & Dog Adoption Event 🐾

Join us Friday, May 15th, from 4:00 –7:00 PM at the St. Francis Bottle Shop for a Tito’s Vodka tasting in-store.

At the same time, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Ruff Start Rescue will be hosting a live dog adoption event at the Bark Park featuring rescue dogs looking for their forever homes. Tito’s will also be handing out small dog samples, and we’ll have food trucks and a dog treat vendor on site.

All dogs are welcome, and this is an all-ages event. Come out, support a great cause, and enjoy a fun evening with the community!

Quick heads-up from Public Works: wipes (even the “flushable” kind) don’t break down like toilet paper and can cause some pretty stubborn clogs in the sewer system.

The easy fix? Just toss wipes in the trash instead of flushing 👍

Spring street sweeping kicks off Tuesday, April 28 at 6:00 a.m. (weather permitting) and typically takes about 3 days.

🚗 Help us clean curb-to-curb:
Please avoid parking on streets 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday so crews can do a thorough job.

🌦️ If weather causes delays, we’ll keep you posted with updates.
