* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Colorado, including the following
county, Kit Carson and northwest Kansas, including the following
county, Sherman.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 508 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Burlington and Bethune.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* At 514 PM MDT/614 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located 8
miles west of Winona, or 21 miles south of Brewster, moving north
at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southwestern Thomas, northwestern Logan and southeastern Sherman
Counties.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 35 and 38.
