Meet Jonathan Alcala, the newest member of the St. Francis Fire Department. Jonathan was sworn in last Friday. He will be heading to the Joint Fire Training Academy (JFTA) for the next 7 weeks. There, he will participate in one of the most challenging and comprehensive fire training programs in the State of Wisconsin. Jonathan is a graduate of Milwaukee Fire Department’s Junior Fire Institute program and worked for both Hales Corners Fire Department and Bell Ambulance. Welcome “Firefighter on Probation” (FFOP) Jonathan Alcala. Godspeed.

“The stage is set”

Did you know that the St. Francis Fire Department and the City of St. Francis host the annual Milwaukee Honor Guard Clinic?

The clinic which is conducted by Honor Guard Clinics and Schools, is one of the most prestigious honor guard training programs in North America.

Each year dozens upon dozens of students come to St. Francis to attend it. Police, Fire, EMS, and Corrections Honor Guard units, members, and instructors from throughout the United States and Canada participate.

This year, the event runs from April 13th to April 19th.

A very special thank you to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for providing a setting for our topics that require a place of worship and committal.

St. Francis Fire Department E121 and C12 responded to the Port of Milwaukee as a standalone mutual aid company. Rubber bumpers along the seawall caught fire after contractors had completed some hot work with torches. Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin

This morning both Nicholas Haselow and Asadeidein Ali were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

Haselow started his career with our department as a high school cadet. Upon graduation, he was hired as a Paid-On-Call Firefigher in 2009. Nick obtained Full-Time Firefighter status in 2013 and promoted to Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) in 2015.

Ali started his career with us in 2020 after serving on North Shore Fire Rescue and Waterford Fire Department. Ali promoted to Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) in 2022. Ali was one of our first Paramedics.

Congratulations gentlemen. Godspeed.
