I want to thank the voters of St. Francis for their support and their trust in me. As a school teacher it is truly humbling to be entrusted with helping run our wonderful district and to be a voice for students, parents, and the teachers who make our schools possible. I got into this race because I wanted to give voters a choice, to practice what I teach and let democracy run the way it is supposed to and today the voters had their say.
I also wanted to thank my friends, family and everyone else who supported me with kind words, small donations, or putting up a yard sign to get my name out there. But most importantly for me, my amazing wife Christine Dunbeck who supported me through this entire process.
In the end this election wasn't about egos, it's about doing what's best for students, something I've dedicated my life's work to. I look forward to working with all members of the board including Chris Finch who voters have also entrusted with looking out for the best interests of our students. I also look forward to working with the teachers, paraprofessionals and all staff that do the hard and rewarding work of teaching our kids.
Thank you all for your support. For now, good night St. Francis. I've got to get up and teach classes in the morning!
