Spring and summer are right around the corner… which can only mean one thing—lemonade stand season is officially upon us 🍋☀️

The Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind all kids, groups, and nonprofit organizations that you are more than welcome to set up your lemonade stand in front of the Sheriff’s Office building in Bird City.

Why here, you ask?✔️ Prime location✔️ Plenty of parking✔️ Built-in security (we take our lemonade protection very seriously)✔️ And yes… lots of cameras, so smile—you might be famous 😉

We love seeing our community out enjoying the warm weather and supporting these young entrepreneurs. So if you’re driving by and see a stand set up, consider stopping for a cup—you might just get the best lemonade in Cheyenne County.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and have a great spring.

The Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports today of individuals receiving phone calls and messages claiming they owe money and will be arrested if payment is not made.

These callers are falsely identifying themselves as employees of the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office.

This is a scam.

The Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office will never contact you by phone or text to demand payment or threaten arrest. In situations requiring law enforcement action, a deputy would make contact with you in person, not over the phone.

If you receive one of these calls or messages:
• Do not provide any personal or financial information
• Do not send money
• Hang up immediately

If you have questions or believe you have been targeted, please contact the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office directly.
