🚨 CASH REWARD OFFERED 🚨

The St. George Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of LaRoy Johnson.

On the morning of October 7, 2024, LaRoy Johnson, age 34, was shot on NE Railroad Avenue in St. George, SC. Investigators continue to pursue leads and are asking for the public’s help.

On National Peace Officers Memorial Day, we could not let this day pass without honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and this nation.

Their courage, dedication, and selfless commitment will never be forgotten. We remember the fallen, stand with their families and brothers and sisters in blue, and carry their legacy forward each day we put on the badge.

Chief Dunaway had the honor to speak at the Saint George Rotary and share his vision for building a strong, professional, and community-focused police department.

During his presentation, Chief Dunaway spoke about what he believes are the four main areas of focus for a great law enforcement agency:

Policies and Procedures
Officer Retention
Community Engagement
Extensive Officer Training

These are essential to ensuring accountability, supporting our officers, building trust within the community, and providing the highest level of service to the citizens of Saint George.

A big THANK YOU to Meg, Sgt. Taylor’s wife, for treating our officers to a delicious meal during National Police Week!

She even brought along the cutest little helper, who may have officially stolen the show! 👶🩷 We truly appreciate the love and support from our police families and community. Acts of kindness like this mean more than words can say.

A huge thank you to Councilman Darrell Hinton for stopping by and treating our officers to donuts during National Police Week. Your support, kindness, and appreciation mean more to us than you know.

As you can see… morale was immediately boosted, professionalism was mostly maintained, and the donuts didn’t stand a chance. 😅

We truly appreciate the continued support from our community and local leaders. Thank you for thinking of us this week!
