If you are able, please do! We need to be loud about the lack of access to support in the aging years. We need more support for those who have moved to this beautiful area when their bodies were strong and healthy, but once their bodies are not…there is poor access to real resources. Not another stack of forms to fill out, not another long wait, not being told how to get help. We need access to transportation, access to real life help. Help filling out forms and please - we have got to stop over promising and UNDER delivering. People are suffering in real support from the moment they are given a devastating diagnosis.

Please join us for the 4th Annual Community Collaboration on Alzheimer's and Dementia on September 10, 2026, at the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah.

This important community discussion will bring us together to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias while taking a closer look at our community's needs. We'll also discuss available services and resources, identify where additional support may be needed, and share how individuals and families can access the help available to them.

We hold such a sacred space in our hearts for the families who let us into their family. These words cannot be more appropriate for the reverence we feel for each and every one impacted by devastating diseases that bring loss beginning with the diagnosis. If you are one of those families, we think of you daily. We talk at length to find ways to show up for you. And upon the “graduation” from this life, we feel all the feels by your side. The relief, the heartbreak, the painful loss of an amazing life once lived. We do this work because we were directed to it. There is no question in our minds of why. We love deeply and honor every piece of a family allowing us in to support them. We do not take it lightly and feel it is such an honor. We love deeply and fiercely for those living this new sort of life. Love comes easy to us. We see you 🩷💕🩷💕🩷.

We saw the decorations and planning in action Legacy Village of St. George earlier this week. Wow are the residents in for some FUN this month! We feel fortunate to get to be a part of some of it! We have a lot of friends who have moved in over the years and hanging out with them at their homes is something we get invited to do all the time. Their homes are fun! And none of us have to cook, clean, etc. we just get to build memories while the community takes care of the rest. Such a wonderful way to live!

Garrett and I are always learning how to best support those who are caregivers. If you or someone you know lives in the space of being impacted by Parkinson’s disease, check out this webinar. This will be our first time, so no guarantees on how the hour will go. But it can’t hurt to join and increase awareness of yet another devastating disease that strikes many lives 💚.

It’s another 5th Monday this Monday. Come and join us for support and resources at a new location. We are grateful for the warm invitation we have received from the local Catholic Church to host our growing group!

⚠️ PLEASE CHECK ON AN OLDER ADULT WHO LIVES ALONE

As many are aware, a widespread power outage is affecting St. George and surrounding areas of Washington County. For many of us, this is an inconvenience. For an older adult living alone, it can quickly become a safety issue.

Please take a few minutes to check on an aging neighbor, friend, parent, or church member—especially someone who:

• Lives alone
• Uses oxygen or powered medical equipment
• Has limited mobility
• Takes medication that requires refrigeration
• May become confused or frightened in the dark
• Does not have a working phone or nearby support

Call them. Knock on their door. Bring a flashlight, water, or a charged battery pack. Make sure they are safe and know they have not been forgotten.

A small check-in could make a very big difference tonight.

If someone is experiencing a medical emergency or is in immediate danger, call 911.
