Thank you to everyone that came out for the Sesquicentennial Parade on Saturday!
A special thank you to the teams who helped make the event safe and successful: City of St. Helena Public Works, Saint Helena Police Department, St. Helena City Fire Department Association, Napa Police Department, and Calistoga Police Department.

If our calculations are correct we tallied up:

What an incredible week in St. Helena! 🎉

From the lively rhythms of ¡Viva Mariachi! in Lyman Park on Friday, to the fun and festivities at Saturday’s “From Boot Stomping to Grape Stomping” fundraiser, and wrapping up with our City of St. Helena official Sesquicentennial day celebration on Tuesday! It was truly a week to remember.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for one (or all!) of these special events. Your energy and support are what make our community so vibrant and connected.

We love partnering with our amazing local organizations and businesses that bringing people together through meaningful, fun experiences. And a special shoutout to all the helping hands; our volunteers, partners, and staff who make every program and event possible.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on an incredible year filled with community, connection, and creativity. From our events and classes to summer camps and special programs. Thank you to our amazing community for showing up, joining in, and making every moment special. As we step into 2026, we’re excited for even more adventures, more connection, and more ways to have fun together!

’Twas the night before Christmas in this magical St. Helena town, the parks were tucked in, the lights twinkled down.
The fields had gone quiet after a year full of play, from kickoffs and classes to camps every day.

The playgrounds stood ready for laughs yet to come, after hosting some serious year-round fun.
We ran, we played, we gathered with cheer,
And built community memories all through the year.

Because Recreation isn’t just courts, fields, and trees; It’s high-fives, hot cocoa, and neighbors you see.
Thank you from us for showing up, for playing along, and making our community joyful and strong.

So here’s to safe holidays, good health, and good cheer, and a New Year packed with fun already in gear.

Thank you to the St Helena St Helena Police Officers' Association for allowing the Recreation Department to participate and be involved in this amazing tradition. We heard and conversed with some of those receiving gifts this season and that brought us all some joy and community reflection that we live in such an incredible place and we have so much to be grateful for. We can’t wait to partner again and make it even more special for all!

Come join us tomorrow at Starr Baldwin Park to help the Public Works Department plant new trees!
Everyone is welcome. All necessary equipment will be provided, and our park staff will be on-site to assist and answer any questions you may have. If you can brave the colder air, we’d love to have you join us in planting trees that our community will enjoy for years to come!
