Feeling like you belong matters.

Safe, inclusive environments support emotional well-being, confidence, and connection.

When people feel seen, respected, and valued, it strengthens both individual and community mental health.

We all have a role in creating that space.

Mental health care is not one size fits all.

Different people need different types of support, and having options helps individuals find what works best for them.

Respecting those differences is part of building a stronger, healthier community.

Reaching out for help is a strong and important step.

Support can look different for everyone. It might be counseling, peer support, crisis services, or simply having someone who listens.

What matters most is knowing that help is there when you need it.

Access to mental health care is essential.

When people can connect to services early, outcomes improve and communities grow stronger.

Barriers like cost, transportation, and availability can make it harder to get help, but support systems and community resources play an important role in closing those gaps.

Everyone deserves access to care.

Talking about mental health can feel uncomfortable, but it should not have to be.

The more we normalize these conversations, the easier it becomes for people to seek support without fear or judgment.

You never know who might need to hear that they are not alone.

Mental health does not always look the way people expect.

Someone can be struggling and still show up to work, care for their family, or smile through the day.

Checking in, even with a simple “how are you really doing,” can go a long way.

Connection matters more than we realize.

Mental health awareness starts with understanding.

Stigma can make it harder for people to reach out, ask questions, or seek support. The more we talk openly and honestly, the more we create space for healing.

Learning, listening, and showing compassion all make a difference.

Awareness is where change begins.

Join us on Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the CCMH Jordan Center for a morning of connection, community, and support as we walk for mental health.

This year, we’re doing things a little differently.

Our theme, “Helping the Helpers,” focuses on recognizing and supporting the people who work closely within behavioral health. Because of that, the event will have a more intentional and streamlined feel, with space for connection, reflection, and shared learning.

Here’s what the day will look like:

✨ 9:00 am: Breakfast, connection, and community survey engagement (for those working in behavioral health)
✨ 10:00–11:00 am: Open to the public: Speakers and shared stories
✨ 11:00 am: Day of registration and check-in
✨ 12:00 pm: Walk begins
✨ 1:00 pm: Event concludes

This event is for everyone, family members, friends, providers, educators, and community partners. Whether you walk, listen, connect, or simply show up, you are part of this movement.

Let’s come together to support mental health, uplift one another, and continue breaking the stigma.
