Information regarding low water pressure in St. Ignatius municipal water system:
At approximately 3 am public works was advised of reports of low water pressure, it was discovered that the metering system which tells the well pumps to send water to the water tower is not communicating as expected so the water level in the tower was below normal. Our public works department turned the pumps on manually to restore normal levels of water in the tower and are monitoring those levels until permanent repairs can be made. There has been no intrusion into the water system because of flooding and the rest of the system, chlorination and delivery are all working as expected.
If you are experiencing issues please contact town hall at 406-745-3791, public works at (406) 552-3870 and leave a message, if you feel the situation is urgent you may also contact Lake County non emergency dispatch at 406-883-7301 and they will relay your information to the public works director.
