Gone, But Not Forgotten

The building has long since been demolished, but the history it holds remains a part of St. James.

Built by Licklider’s in 1932, this building wore many hats throughout the years. It served as a hotel, funeral home, furniture store, and eventually a private residence.

The building may be gone, but the stories, memories, and history that happened within its walls are still part of our community’s story.

St. James history is more than old buildings—it’s the people, businesses, and memories that helped shape our town.
