Take a moment to meet this outstanding group as we prepare to send them off to the Unified Local Track Meet in Sullivan, MO. These athletes have put in the time, the effort, and the heart—practicing, preparing, and pushing themselves to be their very best. Now, they’re ready to shine!

Please keep this in mind the next several days.

Ok folks. Nice weather through the weekend and could be a good time to burn if done correctly.

We have already had one fire this morning from trash being burned and about 20 acres later the fire is out.

We would suggest not burning but if you do, use extreme caution.

As for today there is elevated fire danger due to dry vegetation, wind, along with low humidity.

And yes the ground is wet but everything on top is not. This makes some of these fires difficult to manage or get to.

Please use caution and again, we are discouraging open burning but are not in a burn ban.

Thank you Rolla Rural Fire Protection District 4400 Cuba Fire Protection District Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District, Lenox Fire and the Dozer crew from Conservation for helping us with a large brush fire Friday evening.

It is still very dry out and there are still burn bans in place until we get some rainfall. Please refrain from burning or any outdoor activities that create any spark or flame.
