Behind every foster care placement is a team working to support children and families.

Across Minnesota, county and Tribal workers are on the front lines, responding to reports, supporting families, and helping ensure children have a safe place when they need it most.
Their work is complex, urgent, and deeply human.

During National Foster Care Month, we recognize the critical role counties and Tribal Nations play in supporting children, strengthening families, and working toward stability every day.

This work does not happen alone. It happens through partnership. Learn more https://ow.ly/rfai50YWHTA

It might be cold and rainy now, but we know it's coming. Late spring and early summer are prime times for ticks to make their appearance.

If you spend time outside, make sure to spend time inside checking for ticks - on you, your family, and your pets. Ticks can carry diseases, but preventing bites or catching them quickly can lower your risk of illness.

A newborn’s tummy is tiny—about the size of a 🍒 cherry! It only holds about 1 to 1½ teaspoons of milk at a time. That’s exactly the small amount of milk your body makes in the first few days after birth—and it’s perfect for your baby.
Because their tummies are so small, it’s normal (and important!) for newborns to eat frequently. Your body is amazing—it will make the right amount of milk for your baby as they grow. 💕
Have questions about breastfeeding or wondering what to expect in the first few days? Call or text your WIC breastfeeding peer counselor. They are there to help for support and encouragement!
