Thank You, Dolly.

In honor of Dolly Parton and the incredible legacy she created through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, we want to take a moment to celebrate the impact this program has had right here in our community.

Through the Ida Long Goodman Memorial Library's Imagination Library program, we have proudly given 419 books to local children.

We have celebrated 30 little graduates who have completed the program, and we currently have 52 active children receiving a special book in their mailbox every single month!

What began as Dolly Parton's dream to inspire a love of reading—honoring her father, who was unable to read or write—has reached children and families all across the world, including right here in our community.

Every book that arrives in a child's mailbox is an opportunity to spark imagination, encourage learning, and create special moments between children and the people who love them.

As we get ready to hand out enrollment flyers to our preschoolers next week, we are excited to welcome even more little readers into this wonderful program!

Thank you, Dolly, for believing that every child deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, and fall in love with books.

Your legacy continues—one child, one book, and one mailbox at a time.

The new bestsellers this week include "The Butcher Legacy," "Barbie: Dreamscape," and "Nightshade."

Calling all Titanic fans and adventure seekers!

Did you know that Ida Long Goodman Memorial Library has a FREE Exploration Place family pass that you can check out?

Right now, you can experience Finding TITANIC: The Secret Mission, a special exhibit that takes visitors behind the incredible story of how Dr. Robert Ballard discovered the Titanic. With hands-on activities, rare footage, artifacts, and the fascinating story behind the discovery, this is a must-see—especially for our students who have a special interest in the Titanic! The exhibit is currently scheduled through September 7 and is included with admission.

And while you're there, you do not want to miss the new Adventure Playscape! It is absolutely amazing and makes for a fantastic family day trip!
