🚒3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck! 🚜
Get ready for a hands-on adventure filled with fire engines, construction equipment, police vehicles, and so much more!
Kids (and kids at heart!) can climb aboard, sit in the driver's seat, honk the horns, and discover the vehicles that help keep our community running every day.

🔹 Sensory-Friendly Hour: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (no sirens or horns)

🚁 The Lake County helicopter will be landing at the event, giving everyone a chance to get an up-close look!

🫧 Bubble Party! 🫧
The bubbles will be floating from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, adding even more fun to an already exciting day.

The St. John Volunteer Fire Department will be grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks.
*Cash only. All proceeds benefit the St. John Volunteer Fire Department and help support their mission.

WATER & CO DETECTORS AVAILABLE FOR ST. JOHN RESIDENTS

The St. John Fire Department has 2 pallets of bottled water to assist St. John residents affected by the recent storm.

💧 1 case of water per resident, while supplies last.

🚨 LIMITED CO DETECTORS AVAILABLE TODAY

We also have a limited supply of Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detectors available today for residents who may need one. UPDATE - - We are currently out of CO Detectors. We will update when the next shipment arrives.

📦 More CO Detectors will be delivered tomorrow, and we will provide another update when they are available.

📍 PICK-UP LOCATION:
Please come to the west side of the St. John Fire Department garage for water and CO detector distribution.

📢 A QUICK COMMUNITY REMINDER FROM THE ST. JOHN FIRE DEPARTMENT

As I take a quick pause from the continued response and recovery efforts, we want to remind everyone to please take a moment to scroll through the Town’s social media pages. There is a lot of important information being shared from the Clerk’s Office, Fire Department, Police Department, and Public Works.

Information is spreading fastest through social media, and we truly appreciate everyone’s help in sharing, reading, and passing along these updates to your neighbors, family, and friends.

🚨 ONE MESSAGE YOU WILL SEE ECHOED ACROSS OUR PLATFORMS: CO ALARMS

Since the storms, we have seen a large increase in Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector activations.

Please understand: If your CO alarm is going off, DO NOT assume that it is a faulty alarm.

Our crews have been running from call to call since the storms, and in almost every home where we have responded to a CO alarm, our crews have found elevated CO or a source capable of producing CO.

Your CO alarm is doing its job—and it may be saving your life.

👉 If your CO alarm is sounding, call 911.
👉 Do not remove or disable the alarm.
👉 Keep working CO alarms installed in your home.

🏠 EVEN HOMES WITH WHOLE-HOUSE GENERATORS CAN EXPERIENCE CO BUILDUP.

Following the storms, conditions around homes have changed significantly. Exterior generator exhaust can be affected by surrounding structures, wind, debris, or other factors. Open doors and windows can also allow exhaust gases to enter the home.

⚠️ NEVER operate a generator inside a home, garage, basement, shed, or any enclosed building—PERIOD.

We can assure you that lives have been saved during this event alone due to having a working CO alarm. If you do not currently have a working CO alarm, we have alarms available for residents who need one.

📍 Please stop by the Fire Department during normal business hours, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and we will get you a CO alarm while supplies are available and are located in the upstairs lobby.
