Employee spotlight - kinda 😉

A photo of our newest "employee" was included in our National Dog Day post, but we thought she deserved more attention. Evie's job title? How about Ambassador of Adorableness???

Sandy's new puppy is bringing smiles wherever she roams.

"I adopted Evie (comes from Hebrew name, to breathe or life) from The Buster Foundation, a non-profit organization for special needs, or difficult to place dogs. She is 10 weeks old and was born blind. She’ll soon start earning her Canine Good Citizen certificate and go on to school with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. She’s excited to join team Hazel Findlay and provide service to our residents."

Evie's inability to see doesn't slow her down when making new friends and checking out everything there is to smell.

Today's potato bar was tasty! Several options for toppings on different types of potatoes. One of the perks of working at Hazel Findlay is free meals while on shift. This one was fun!

Employee spotlight – Avery S. – Certified Nursing Assistant/CNA

Avery joined our work family in December of 2025. She is a graduate of St. Johns High School. Avery also went to the Douglas J Institute to study cosmetology.

What do you like best about working at Hazel Findlay? “The residents.”

While Avery enjoys going to Florida, her dream trip is to the Bahamas.

Fun facts – “I have a goldendoodle named Rudy.”

The Mint Country Garden Club visited us last week. They helped cut and make flower bouquets for our residents to take with them. This dedicated group of volunteers maintain our courtyards and do a beautiful job!
