The Florida Association for Community Action (FACA) is soliciting proposals from qualified applicants to perform comprehensive training for all Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) providers in the state of Florida. Department for Economic Opportunity (DEO) contracts with 16 local agencies to deliver the WAP to all 67 counties in Florida.

The applicant must possess a general knowledge and understanding of regulations governing the DOE’s WAP and Florida’s WAP state plan, field guides, and health and safety plan. Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong analytical capabilities are needed.

Written proposals are required via e-mail by 5 p.m. EST, January 16, 2023. Send all responses to Kenya Woodard, Interim Executive Director, at [email protected].

The Northeast Florida Community Action Agency welcomes proposals from qualified consultants to review and assess NFCAA’s current board and organizational structure, operational functions and level of staffing.

All submissions must be on white, standard 8.5x11 paper, single sided only.

Narrative description of project proposal should not exceed 8 single sided pages.
Attachments/Forms must be type written. Include additional pages as needed. FAX copies will NOT be accepted. Do NOT use hardcover binders. Submissions will NOT be returned.

The Florida Association for Community Action (FACA) is looking for its next executive director. Established in 1981, FACA has answered the call of the “War on Poverty” by working to support Community Action Agencies throughout Florida. FACA provides training, technical assistance, advocacy and information sharing to each member agency.

In this capacity, the Executive Director provides sound programming, fiscal and personnel management, develops effective relationships with stakeholders and positively represents the association to external audiences.
