Bring Your Kid to Work Day! 👷‍♂️👩‍💼

Some of our CCRC team members welcomed their kids for a fun and educational day on the job. These young visitors got a firsthand look at what a “day in the life” of their parent really means—seeing them in action, and maybe even sparking ideas for their own futures.

It was a great opportunity to bring work and family together, inspire the next generation, and highlight the important role our team plays in keeping the roads in Clinton County safe for everyone. 🚧🛣️

It's National Work Zone Awareness Week!!! It's time to remind drivers that the choices made behind the wheel have real consequences for the people working along our roadways and the families waiting for them at home. Work zone crashes are preventable.

Last year alone, nearly 6,000 crashes were reported in Michigan work zones, resulting in more than 1,000 injuries and multiple fatalities.

Drivers can help protect roadway workers, first responders and fellow motorists by:
• Slowing down and staying alert
• Eliminating distractions, including cell phones. Michigan is a hands-free state.
• Moving over and slowing down for emergency and roadside vehicles

We are pulling in berm alongside many of the gravel roads in the northern part of the county, Bengal Twp, and Dallas Twp today, to prepare for summer re-graveling projects. Check out the video and photos below!

This improves drainage and helps repurpose the loose gravel along the edge. Immediately after the de-berming process, the road will be rough and there may be small clumps of sod. This is only temporary as crews will continue to regrade and smooth everything out.

We appreciate your patience as we work around the county performing these tasks.
