Stabilizing Taxes: As a member of the Danville Selectboard since 2017, I have seen taxes increase to a level that is now unaffordable for many Vermonters. I have worked hard, alongside my co-board members and town managers since my start on the Selectboard to keep increases in our Town's Municipal and Highway budgets at a minimum. Finding compromise to provide the town with what it needs to maintain its highways and municipal functions; at a cost its residents can afford.
In Montpelier, I will bring that same approach to the challenge of funding our vital education system. I will work with legislators, educators, municipalities, and communities to find sustainable solutions that support our schools without placing the continued burden of rising costs on property taxpayers.
