The Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard had the honor and privilege of Presenting the Colors Thursday for the Northwest Missouri Commissioners meeting held at the Buchanan County Fair Grounds

The team was led by Sgt. BJ King, with team members Dep. Anthony Clary, Cpl. Zack Craft, Inv. Dawn Dussetschleger, and Dep. Steven Sollars.

We are very proud and excited to welcome our newest deputies to the Sheriff's Office, who all graduated from the Missouri Western Regional Law Enforcement Academy this evening.

Scam Alert:
The BCSO wants to warn our citizens that scammers are trying to take advantage of our citizens with false warrants. They are using the names of actual sworn deputies and supervisors in an attempt to steal money from the citizens of Buchanan County.

We want to remind everyone that members of the Sheriff's Office and law enforcement (even federal) DO NOT call our citizens and ask them for money over the phone for warrants, missed jury duty, or citations. If you are asked to come to the Law Enforcement Center, make sure that you speak with someone in person and not call a provided number to issue any form of payment.
