Good afternoon,
Our area is expected to experience a significant winter storm beginning Friday and continuing through Sunday. I have been fully briefed by our Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP) Director, who will remain in close communication with the mayors of all three villages to coordinate response efforts.
I have also spoken with our Road Department Superintendent, and crews are on standby 24/7 to respond to emergencies, including downed trees and blocked roadways. Please use caution, limit travel when possible, and check on your neighbors - especially the elderly and those with disabilities.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Tensas Parish Police Jury will receive sealed bids up to Noon on Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Police Jury Office, Tensas Parish Governmental Complex, 212 Hancock Street, St. Joseph, LA for the purchase of the Meat Market located at 108 Industrial Park Drive, St. Joseph, LA. with a minimum bid of $85,000.00.

Bids will be opened and read aloud at an Economic Development Committee meeting to be held Monday, January 26th at 1:00 pm and referred to the Tensas Parish Police Jury for consideration at the regular meeting of the Jury to be held on January 27, 2026.

ENVELOPES CONTAINING BIDS, SHOULD SO STATE ON THE FRONT OF THE ENVELOPE. THE TENSAS PARISH POLICE JURY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNMARKED BIDS THAT ARE OPENED PRIOR TO MONDAY, JANUARY 26, 2026.

TENSAS PARISH POLICE JURY ADVERTISEMENT FOR EMPLOYMENT FOR AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR - GRANT ADMINISTRATOR

The Tensas Parish Police Jury is accepting applications for the position of Economic Development Director – Grant Administrator serving the Parish and its Municipalities.

Applications for employment may be obtained from the Tensas Parish Police Jury Office located at 212 Hancock Street, St. Joseph, LA 71366, beginning January 14, 2026.

Completed applications must be accompanied by a resume and submitted to the Tensas Parish Police Jury at the address listed above. All materials must be received no later than 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Applications or resumes received after 4:00 P.M. will not be accepted.
