Slow Down. Stay Alert. Save Lives. 🚧

Construction season is underway, and work zones are active across our community.

The Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office reminds all drivers:

✅ Obey posted speed limits in work zones
✅ Eliminate distractions and stay focused
✅ Leave extra following distance
✅ Watch for workers, equipment, and sudden traffic changes
✅ Plan ahead and allow extra travel time

Reckless or distracted driving in construction zones puts lives at risk and can lead to serious criminal and traffic penalties.

Everyone deserves to make it home safely — including road crews, first responders, and motorists.

Drive responsibly. Slow down in work zones. Lives depend on it.

🚨 Scam Alert from the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office🚨

We are seeing a number of people report that they received a VINE notification that their offender’s court appearance would be in a different county.

❗ Important reminders:
• VINE notifications do not include the location of court proceedings.
• An offender’s court location will remain in the same county throughout the proceedings.

✅ What you should do:
• Do not reply to these notifications or provide personal information.
• If you have questions or concerns about upcoming court hearings, contact the Prosecutor’s Office.

Staying informed is the best defense against scams.
