Swope Health KidsCARE St. Joseph recently opened its door and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.

The facility is located at 711 N. 36th St. and specializes in primary care, behavioral health, dental services, vision care and community and school-based services for patients from birth to 17 years old. Swope KidsCARE came to St. Joseph in partnership with Mosaic Life Care. This is Swope’s 25th facility in the greater Kansas City area.

Elanco Animal Health Inc., in Elwood, Kan., celebrated the completion of its $130 million expansion of its manufacturing facility on Wednesday.

The expansion quadruples production capacity and will be a major part of developing and producing the next generation of animal health treatments. Elanco committed to adding 70 jobs two years ago and has nearly completed that task with plans to surpass that amount. The facility now employs more than 200 people who work in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and biomanufacturing.
