Van Cleave Construction Remodeling and Design recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in business with a ceremonial ribbon cutting and reception at Room 108 in downtown St. Joseph.

Originally founded in 2006, the company began with just Erich Van Cleave, a couple of employees and a truck, but has since grown to an 18-person team that supports communities in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.

“Now, we have a full office team,” Erich told the News-Press. “We have two designers, we have an estimator. It’s just really scaled, and it’s important to have those people in those positions because I can’t do it all myself.”

Tonight’s Chamber Business of the Night at the St. Joseph Mustangs was InspireU St. Joseph. It’s a hands-on museum for children up to age 10, focusing on health, wellness, and education through play. It’s a St. Joseph gem in downtown. Check it out this summer with your family if you haven’t already.

Waffle House was the Chamber Business of the Night tonight at the St. Joseph Mustangs game. Waffle House started in 1955 and some favorite dishes include Bert’s Chili, Lib’s Patty Melt and hash browns served eight different ways. It’s open 24 hours a day so it’s always a good time for waffles!
