This week, members of the St. Joseph Police Department, the Buchanan County Prosecutor's Office and the YWCA,attended the Family and Sexual Violence Conference in Springfield, MO. Victim Advocate Siobhan Jackson presented a session on Elder Abuse MDT's. We learn together and serve together.

Buchanan County Courthouse will be closed Friday, May 8, 2026, in observance of President Truman Day. Offices will reopen during regular business hours on Monday.

Our annual Crime Victims' Rights Week breakfast was held at MWSU this morning. The Mosaic Life Care Forensic Program was awarded the Buchanan County Crime Victims' Service Award. We would also like to the thank the Criminal Justice/Legal Studies and Law Enforcement Academy at MWSU for sponsoring the breakfast.

Wednesday evening we met at the Crime Victim Memorial to remember those we have lost to violence.
