Due to school boundary changes, the SJSD no longer qualifies for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. This means families who need meal assistance must complete an application for the 2026-2027 school year.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with friends and family who may benefit.

Sometimes we spend so much time questioning ourselves wondering if we’re too much, not enough, too emotional, too quiet, too different. But the truth is, the environment we’re in matters more than we realize.

Being around supportive people can change everything. The right people don’t make you feel like you need to shrink, explain yourself, or constantly prove your worth. They create space for you to grow, heal, and be fully yourself without judgment.

If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t belong, it may not have been you, it may have been the room. And it’s okay to find a new one.

Surround yourself with people who see you, support you, and remind you of your value; even on the days you forget it yourself. đź’›

đź’¸ Managing Financial Stress (Without the Overwhelm)

Let’s be honest — money stress is REAL. It can show up as anxiety, sleepless nights, irritability, or just that constant feeling of “I’m behind.”

The good news? You don’t have to have everything figured out to start feeling more in control. Small steps can make a big difference.

Here are a few simple (and realistic) ways to take control of your finances:

🟡 Track your spending
Awareness is the first step — you might be surprised where your money is going.

🟡 Create a basic budget
Nothing fancy — just a simple plan for where your money needs to go each month.

🟡 Start small with savings
Even $5–$10 at a time adds up. Progress > perfection.

🟡 Cut back where you can
Not everything — just look for a few areas to lighten the load.

🟡 Set a goal that excites you
Saving is easier when you have something meaningful to work toward.

Financial stress can feel heavy, but you’re not alone — and it’s okay to take it one step at a time.

At Lifelong Learning Center Inc., we understand how stress (including financial stress) impacts mental health. We’re here to support you in building coping skills, reducing overwhelm, and creating a plan that works for your life.
