We extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of former Tensas Parish Sheriff Jeff Britt.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the funeral services at 2:00 p.m.

Both the visitation and funeral services will take place at the Monterey Church of Christ.

Tensas Sheriffs Office has asked that everyone avoid Highway 3009-trees are completely blocking both lanes, 3464 Highway 568 (Wproof)tree is blocking one lane, D St in (Wproof)trees blocking both lanes, and Lombardo St (Nton)is blocked with trees and power lines down.

AT&T surprised us-service has been restored!

AT&T advised it would be tomorrow before phone lines would be restored, 911 lines ARE working. These are admin lines only and your cell phones. We have our admin lines forwarded to our office cell phone so please have patience when calling.

The fiber between St.Joseph and Waterproof has been cut-just south of Locust Ridge area. Hopefully, it’ll be restored soon.
