Quick reminder, we're open until 6:00 today and then closed for a long weekend. Have a happy Labor Day!

The library will be closed Saturday through Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday. There is still plenty of time to pick up books, videos, etc. for the long weekend!

WiFi will remain on and extends to the parking lot while we are closed, and our digital collections can be borrowed 24/7 from anywhere you can access the internet as long as you have an active library account in good standing. Our sale operates the full week of Monday, September 14th through Saturday, September 19th during regular library hours.

We need your help to make this event a success! All profits from the sale support library programs and improvements. The library is only able to accept cash or check for this event.

Last call! Completed summer reading program challenge logs must be turned in and prizes picked up by 6:00 p.m. today. Thanks to all of our program participants, event leaders, and volunteers for another great summer of learning and reading. We hope you had even more fun than we did!!!

Today is Dow Gardens third Library Card Night of the summer from 4:30-8:00 p.m., and the weather looks beautiful (although I think there's a chance of thunderstorms).

Library Card Night returns Wednesday, August 12 from 4:30–8 PM. Each guest age 6 and up receives free admission with their own valid Michigan public library card, while children 5 and under enter free. Present cards at admissions. Cards in the myLIBRO app are accepted, and no advance reservations are required.

Don't forget, all completed summer reading program challenges must be turned in by Friday August 14 at 6:00 p.m. in order to collect prizes and be entered in the grand prize drawing. This deadline is both for returning physical logs to the library or submitting virtual logs through the app. Congratulations to all the great readers in our community! We hope you've had fun, regardless of whether you completed the challenge or simply started it, and you still have a few days left if you're not quite there yet🙂

Today is the primary election. Visit the Michigan Voter Information Center online at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/ to check your registration status, find your polling location, view your sample ballot and more. Polls close at 8:00 p.m.

It's Election Day! Polls are open statewide from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you still need to register, you can do so in your clerk’s office with proof of residency until 8 p.m. and vote.

Quick reminder that while the summer reading program events concluded in July, children and teens have until August 14 to turn in their completed reading challenge logs and collect prizes.
