From training and parades to a little downtime, Every once in a while, we even get a couple little future firefighters stopping by to learn from us and be part of the fun. 🚒 Help Us Help You – Make Sure Your Address Is Visible! 🚒

In an emergency, every second counts. One of the simplest ways to help first responders find you quickly is by making sure your house number and mailbox numbers are clearly visible from the road.

✅ Use large, easy-to-read numbers
✅ Make sure numbers are not blocked by trees, bushes, decorations, or vehicles
✅ Replace faded or damaged numbers
✅ Ensure numbers are visible both day and night

Whether it’s a fire, medical emergency, or other urgent situation, visible address numbers can save valuable time when seconds matter most.

Take a moment today to check your address. It could make all the difference when help is on the way.

🚒 Stay safe,

Over the past few years, our department has faced its share of challenges. Like many volunteer fire departments, we’ve experienced ups and downs, but through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, we continue to move forward.

Today, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made and excited about the future we’re building. None of this would be possible without the incredible firefighters who give their time and effort to serve our community, and the community members who continue to support us every step of the way.

Together, we are building a stronger, more capable department that is ready to serve when our neighbors need us most. Thank you to everyone who has stood by us, believed in us, and helped us grow. The future is bright, and we’re just getting started.

We’re also excited to share some of the recent improvements within our department. We have opened a new Lieutenant position to help strengthen our leadership team, the department has elected Kevin Comeaux as the new lieutenant to continue developing the next generation of firefighters. In addition, we have expanded our fleet with Brush Truck 1141, providing us with additional resources to better protect and serve our community.

🚒❤️ Your support and our firefighters’ dedication are what make this department strong, and we look forward to continuing to grow together.

We’re proud to officially welcome our new fire truck brush 1141 into service. This isn’t just new equipment—it’s a big step forward in keeping our community and our firefighters safe.

With this addition, we’re even more prepared to respond when the call comes in. We’re grateful for the continued support that makes upgrades like this possible.

Ready to serve. Ready to respond. Always. 🔥

As of today, March 9, 2026, the burn ban has been lifted in St. Martin Parish. Private burning is no longer restricted.

However, Parish Ordinance 21-08-1329 prohibits the burning of unnatural products (housing materials, plastics, trash, etc) and only allows for natural products from the property (limbs, grass, etc). It also places whoever burns liable for damages to neighboring properties. Whoever is conducting burns must also stay with the burning material for the duration of the burn, or it will be treated as an unmanned, nuisance burn which will be extinguished and possibly cited for fines.

Please keep in mind current wind conditions and fire spread prevention. Please be responsible and keep our community safe!!

🚨 BURN BAN IN EFFECT: ST. MARTIN PARISH 🚨

Due to current drought conditions and elevated wind speeds, an immediate burn ban has been proclaimed for all areas of St. Martin Parish, effective today Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

This measure is crucial to ensure public safety and prevent fires, which are a high risk in current weather conditions.

What is Prohibited?

ALL private outdoor burning activities are prohibited until further notice. This includes:
Burning of trash, brush, and debris.
Uncontained campfires and bonfires.
Any open flame activity that produces embers.

Exceptions to the Ban

The ban does not apply to:
Supervised outdoor cooking activities using elevated and controlled settings.
Prescribed burns by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) or certified individuals

Enforcement and Penalties

Violating this Executive Order may result in both civil and/or criminal penalties, including fines up to $500.00.

We urge all residents to comply with the ban to protect our community and first responders. If you spot smoke or a fire, please report it immediately by calling 911.
