From art projects to journal entries and collaborative group work, children explore weekly themes and daily reading in ways that are meaningful to them. Whether they’re illustrating a story, writing about their own experiences, or working together to bring ideas to life, each learning opportunity gives youth the chance to learn in a way that fits them best.

By giving children the freedom to express their thoughts and ideas, we create space for curiosity, confidence, and creativity to grow. Our mentors play a key role in making this happen—encouraging exploration, and helping every child’s voice be heard.

Because when kids have a choice in their learning, the possibilities are endless 💛

The WVDA requests information from farmers and agricultural producers who may have been impacted by debris fallout from the Parkersburg fire (7/5). Please submit details through our portal (https://agriculture.wv.gov/) to assist us in identifying affected operations, assessing the extent of impact, and determining appropriate outreach, monitoring, or assistance.

Attention, livestock owners: If your farm was in an area impacted by the Parkersburg fire (7/5), check your animals’ feed for any signs of smoke, ash, or debris. 📢 Conservation Office Hours in Pleasants County

Jennifer Kile, Conservation Specialist III with the West Virginia Conservation Agency at Upper Ohio CD will host office hours at the Pleasants County Extension Office (605 Cherry Street, St. Marys).

Stop by to meet Jennifer, ask questions about conservation and educational programs for landowners, and learn about opportunities available through the West Virginia Conservation Agency, Upper Ohio Conservation District, and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
