Elk County, PA — Mark Saline, President of Gasbarre Thermal Processing Systems, recently presented a $7,000 donation 💙 to the St. Marys Area United Way. Accepting the contribution were Doug Bauer, Leah Whiteman, Shane Ford, and Doug Gaffey. This generous gift helped the organization reach its ambitious 2025 fundraising goal of $200,000 🎯 — supporting vital programs that address critical needs in health, education, and human services throughout our community.
Saline, a dedicated United Way board member for several years, exemplifies the strong partnership between Gasbarre and the local community 🤝.
Because of incredible community generosity, the 2025 campaign surpassed its goal, raising a total of $208,076 🙌, including:

• $86,765 in corporate donations
• $90,409 from Leadership Donors 🌟

Following the successful campaign, the United Way Board conducted annual agency reviews and recommended grant awards to numerous local organizations providing essential services 🏥📚🚒 — including the Boys & Girls Club of St. Marys, CAPSEA, Dickinson Center’s Crossroads Program, Elkland Search & Rescue, Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania, Guardian Angel Center, local fire departments, St. Marys Ambulance Service, area libraries, recreation programs, and more.
Looking ahead, the 2026 campaign goal is once again set at $200,000 🎯. The St. Marys Area United Way deeply appreciates the continued support of individuals and businesses whose generosity directly benefits communities throughout the St. Marys Area School District ❤️.
