🎉 Gasbarre Helps United Way Achieve Campaign Goal 🎉

Elk County, PA — Mark Saline, President of Gasbarre Thermal Processing Systems, recently presented a $7,000 donation 💙 to the St. Marys Area United Way. Accepting the contribution were Doug Bauer, Leah Whiteman, Shane Ford, and Doug Gaffey. This generous gift helped the organization reach its ambitious 2025 fundraising goal of $200,000 🎯 — supporting vital programs that address critical needs in health, education, and human services throughout our community.

Saline, a dedicated United Way board member for several years, exemplifies the strong partnership between Gasbarre and the local community 🤝.

Because of incredible community generosity, the 2025 campaign surpassed its goal, raising a total of $208,076 🙌, including:
• $19,301 in employee payroll contributions
• $86,765 in corporate donations
• $90,409 from Leadership Donors 🌟
• $7,367 in additional individual gifts
• $4,204 in commercial donations
• $30 in memorial contributions

Following the successful campaign, the United Way Board conducted annual agency reviews and recommended grant awards to numerous local organizations providing essential services 🏥📚🚒 — including the Boys & Girls Club of St. Marys, CAPSEA, Dickinson Center’s Crossroads Program, Elkland Search & Rescue, Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania, Guardian Angel Center, local fire departments, St. Marys Ambulance Service, area libraries, recreation programs, and more.

Looking ahead, the 2026 campaign goal is once again set at $200,000 🎯. The St. Marys Area United Way deeply appreciates the continued support of individuals and businesses whose generosity directly benefits communities throughout the St. Marys Area School District ❤️.

🌟 St. Marys Area United Way Celebrates a Successful 2025 Campaign! 🌟

We are proud to share that the St. Marys Area United Way exceeded its 2025 fundraising goal thanks to the incredible generosity of our community. At our quarterly Board meeting on January 29, we celebrated another year of making a difference across Elk County and the surrounding region.

Because of support from local residents, businesses, and partners through payroll deductions, corporate giving, leadership donations, and individual contributions, we raised an amazing $208,076 in 2025 — surpassing our $200,000 goal!

Here’s how the 2025 total was made possible:

💼 $19,301 from employee payroll programs
🏢 $86,765 from corporate donations
🌟 $90,409 from Leadership Donors (individual gifts of $500 or more)
❤️ $7,367 from other individual contributions
🛍️ $4,204 from commercial donations
🕊️ $30 from memorial donations

These funds will be distributed through grants to local organizations providing essential services and programs for individuals and families in our community, including:

✅ Boys & Girls Club of St. Marys
✅ CAPSEA
✅ Crystal Fire Department

As we look ahead, we are excited to announce that our 2026 campaign goal is $200,000, and we are grateful for the continued partnership that makes this work possible.

🎉 Leadership Update at St. Marys Area United Way! 🎉

The St. Marys Area United Way Board of Directors has elected a new president and recognized outgoing president Jim Ryan for his years of dedicated service.

In the photo, Doug Bauer, United Way Vice President, presents Jim with a plaque in appreciation of his leadership and commitment as president over the past two years. Jim will continue to serve on the board.

Doug Bauer has been elected to serve as President beginning January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028. He’ll lead alongside Bill Olson (Secretary) and board members Doug Gaffey, John Dippold, Jane Olson, Bob Ordiway, Jeff Azzato, Erica Hayes, Becky Piccolo, Rachel Rhed, Rob O’Leary, Jason Gabler, Pete Straub, Leah Whiteman, Mark Saline, and Shane Ford. The Vice President position is currently vacant. Barb Glatt continues as Finance Director & Treasurer, and Jen Dippold continues as Executive Director.
