Mission Statement/Services
The Auglaize County Council on Aging, Inc’s first mission is to assist the elderly, age 60+, of Auglaize County by providing direct services to aid the elderly in remaining independent and a resourceful part of the community. Eligibility Requirements:
Must be an Auglaize County resident, aged 60 or over. Clients must agree to an initial assessment to be completed by an Outreach Specialist. Cost for Services:
Services are provided free of charge with the exception of Prescription Meal Service. Priority Services Provided:
1) Outreach I – Initial assessment for client 2) Outreach II – Speakers, Newsletter
3) Transportation – In and out of county medical; Coordinated Transportation
4) Chore – Heavy cleaning, seasonal needs, errands, minor home repairs
5) Homemaker – Light house cleaning
6) Transitional Meals – Temporary Specialized Home Delivered Meal Program
7) Information and Referral 8) Socialization and Mealsites
9) Carrier Alert – with county Post Offices
10) Safe Return – with Alzheimer’s Association (11) File/Vial of Life
12) Friendly Visitor (13) Golden Age Interaction (14) Wellness Information Center
(15) Legal Aid/Mental Health Appts. (16) Vet 2 Vet Support Group

The Auglaize County Council on Aging will be holding a 50th Anniversary luncheon on Tuesday, September 22nd. There will entertainment along with a free meal. If you would like to attend contact us at 419-394-8252 to register. Anyone is welcome to attend, but you must be signed up so that enough food is ordered.
The entertainment begins at 10:30 AM.

Part-time Transportation Driver
Up to 24 hours per week or as needed.
Must have clean license and patience for the elderly.
To provide transportation for county seniors to and from needed appointments.

HELP WANTED: Activities Assistant - East side (Wapakoneta) 2-3 days a week Provides programs to promote the physical and intellectual well-being of clients and assists with the meal site. No benefits provided. Communicating and listening to the elderly is a must. Applications can be filled in on line on our website, or can be picked up at the ACCA, 610 Indiana Ave. in St. Marys. All applications must be returned by July 31, 2026.
