Friday 8/28/26, 1234 hrs. Talbot Co. DES Communications (Talbot Center) dropped the tones for Station 70 (Tilghman) Station 40 (St.Michaels) and Talbot Co. DES paramedics 97 and 94 for the serious head on MVC with entrapment in the area of Tilghman Island Rd. And Grafton Manner Rd. In the Sherwood community.

Tilghman’s Chief 701 arrived on location POV reporting a two vehicle head on collision with two priority one patients trapped in one vehicle as well as a third priority 1 patient from the second vehicle and requested a third Paramedic Unit (91) to the scene.

Tilghman Engine 73 upon arrival immediately began extrication of the driver trapped and St.Michaels Truck 40 began extrication of the passenger upon their arrival, extrication of both patients was completed within 15 minutes. Both patients extricated were flown to Shock Trauma, Baltimore by MSP Troopers 6 and 2 with serious injuries, the patient from the second vehicle was transported to Shore Medical Center, Easton.

Station 70 and 40 units remained on scene for approximately 2 hours while MSP investigated and reconstructed the scene.

Units on scene Engine 73, Truck 40, Chief 40, Utility 40, Engine 45 handled the Landing Zone, MSP Talbot Co. Sheriff’s Department, Talbot Co. DES Paramedics 97, 94 and 91 MSP Troopers 6 and 2 and Maryland SHA.

Working Vehicle Fire.

July 30, 2026, at 1310 hours, St. Michaels Firefighters responded to a reported vehicle fire in the Royal Oak area of our first due.

Chief 40 arrived on scene and confirmed a working van fire. The crew from Engine 45 quickly deployed a handline and knocked all fire within three minutes of arrival, preventing extension to nearby vegetation. All units cleared the air within thirty minutes.
