Greetings Park residents!! Engine 2 wanted to say thank you to everyone that came out to Heritage park today and made the day so special!!
We hope you were able to cool off in the World's Best Sprinkler, enjoyed a freeze pop and had fun with the sidewalk chalk. Engine 2 had a blast stretching out her pump and sharing the good time. Again, thank you all!!

Good morning Park!! Engine 2 was up all night watching radar and when I woke up this morning, she showed it to me and asked if the way the radar looked is good for this afternoon. I explained that the radar is looking for and watching precipitation and also trying to predict where it will be and how much will be falling. After about five minutes she rolled her headlights at me and I told her, YES!! This is great news. She's so excited to make the "World's Best Sprinkler" for all the people in Park, she was running around the station. She asked if we could bring those "funny, colored, dry chunks" for the kids (sidewalk chalk). I told her absolutely!
Again, if we're not there right at 2, please be patient. We may be on a call, and helping people is E2's true passion.

Greetings Park residents!! Well, summer is here and its here with the heat!! We feel ya. But, it just so happens that Engine 2 is itching to stretch her pump. This Saturday, the high is going to be around 85°. Come join us at Heritage Park this Saturday (06-06-26) at 2 P.M. and help E2 get some good stretches in while cooling off in the world's best sprinkler!!
If we're not there at 2, be patient, we may be on a call. See you there!!

On Wednesday, May 27th, Engineer James W was recognized for his partnership with our local Scout Pack and Troop 9083. James was presented with a Spark Plug Award.

The BSA Spark Plug Award is a district-level recognition for registered adult Scouters or community volunteers. It honors individuals who go above and beyond to provide "Scouting Spirit," keep programs fun, and act as the energetic "spark" for their unit, district, or council.

Along with James, Scout Leader Mandy K. was also recognized. The two have paired up on several occasions to help our local Scouts and continue to challenge them as they move forward.

Last night, we had the opportunity to honor our retired and current members, along with recognizing a few of our OUTSTANDING members.

It was so much fun catching up with our past members and listening to the incredible stories that make up such an amazing piece of our city's history.

We also wanted to be sure to take time and express our gratitude to our significant others. They sacrifice so much for our Firefighters and community!

SPPFD also recognized Engineer Levi M. as Firefighter of the year. Levi really took on and excelled in his training, has worked really hard and has become a key member of this department!

Top Responders of SPPFD were awarded to 3rd place Engineer Todd K., 2nd place Engineer Levi M. and 1st place to Engineer James W.

SPPFD is proud of its Firefighters and the hard work and dedication they bring to work each and every day.
