Your right to vote shouldn't come with a paperwork obstacle course.

The SAVE Act would create new barriers to voter registration and make it harder for Americans to cast their ballots.

Voting is a right -- don't restrict it!

Tell Congress to oppose the SAVE Act!

Please join us for a webinar to learn about the Permanent School Fund Constitutional Amendment Ballot Measure that will be on Minnesotans’ ballot during the November 3 General Election. LWVMN members will be equipped with basic knowledge about the ballot measure and be able to point voters to appropriate state and local school district sources of information regarding it during our fall voter service work.

Denise Dittrick and Kimberley Dunn Lewis from the MN School Boards Association will present non-partisan information regarding the ballot measure, which passed the Minnesota State legislature this past session with strong bipartisan support.

This webinar will be recorded and posted on YouTube for public viewing. Attendees are encouraged to pose questions in the chat during the webinar for Denise and Kim to answer after the presentation.

Women’s equality is a long way from done. But we pause this day to honor the suffragettes who fought so hard to get women the right to vote. They were mocked, ostracized, attacked, jailed, and force - fed - all for women to have the right to vote.

Never forget the sacrifices they made.

Protect access to voting! In-person early voting, absentee by mail voting, or in-person voting on November 3 - voting should be easily accessible for all citizens.

Protect the right to vote - VOTE!

Women's Equality Day was designated in 1971 as a "symbol of women's continued fight for equal rights...". Today, we continue to commemorate the day and the history of the fight for equal rights. Read more about the history of this day from the National Women's History Museum:

Since 1971, Women’s Equality Day has been celebrated annually on August 26. The celebration falls on the anniversary of the certification of the 19th Amendment which granted women the right to vote.
