We asked our preschoolers why axolotls make great classroom pets. 🩵

We've been learning about axolotl habitat, biology, and care, so our panel of experts was ready to share their official findings.

And it may not be what you expect… or is it? 🤔 I mean, axolotls, right?!

Then Dan the Fishman stepped in with the actual science: axolotls can regrow limbs, are fascinating to observe, and make wonderful classroom pets.

Official preschool verdict? They're cute. They swim underwater. And they can regrow their limbs. 💙

Our community is strong, connected, and caring. We are here for one another.

Early today schools in Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District 196 were closed after multiple threatening voicemails
Authorities say the threats came from out of state and are not considered credible
Closures were done “out of an abundance of caution”

Fresh air, rosy cheeks, and upside-down winter smiles ❄️🙃

At Water Lily Montessori in St Paul, MN we're bundled in coats, hats, mittens, and snowpants this time of year but our students are still being kids! Hanging from the playground equipment with snow all around — smiling teachers cheering them on. We all benefit from the refreshing Great North outdoors!

At our school, outdoor time isn’t a season — it’s every single day, all year long. From snowy adventures to spring puddles and fall leaf hunts, our children grow, explore, and thrive outside in every Minnesota season.

Nature is our classroom. Curiosity is our curriculum. And the outdoors? Always open. 🌲
