One of the things that makes Minnesota truly special is our incredible parks, trails, lakes, and outdoor spaces.

They're where families make memories, kids explore nature, and communities come together.

That's why I was proud to support this year's Bonding Bill, which makes major investments to protect and improve the places we all enjoy.

From repairing state parks and trails to restoring forests, reducing flood risks, strengthening wildfire response, and improving local conservation projects, we're making sure these natural treasures are cared for for generations to come.

When people have a trusted way to speak up, we can identify concerns earlier, prevent tragedies, and create safer schools for every student. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a safe environment.

Food shelves are often the first place people turn during difficult times. This investment strengthens those community lifelines, supports local families, and helps ensure no Minnesotan has to face hunger alone.

A safe home is more than just a roof over your head. It's where children can learn and grow, where seniors can age with dignity, and where families can build a better future.

By investing in the homes people already rely on, we're strengthening communities and helping ensure more Minnesotans have access to safe, affordable housing for years to come.

I'm proud to have supported this legislation investing $13 million to help protect and expand supportive housing across Minnesota.

This funding helps provide stable housing for seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, survivors of domestic violence, and other vulnerable Minnesotans—especially as federal funding faces uncertainty.

One of the things I love most about Minnesota is our incredible outdoors. As someone who enjoys spending time outside—whether it's exploring our parks, hiking our trails, or simply enjoying nature—I know how special these places are to so many of us.

Tonight was one of my favorite nights of the year—National Night Out / Night to Unite! 💙

Thank you to Brooklyn Center Police Chief Flesland and City Manager Daren Nyquist for the opportunity to join you on a ride-along and visit some of our incredible neighborhood block parties! Together, I had the chance to stop by five amazing National Night Out gatherings across our district, and every visit was filled with welcoming neighbors, great conversations, and an incredible sense of community. Nights like these remind me why I absolutely love serving the people of our district as your State Senator.

From sharing delicious food and lots of laughter to hearing stories and talking about the issues that matter most to people, every conversation was meaningful. These moments sitting down together as neighbors, getting to know one another, and building stronger community connections are what make our neighborhoods so special.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who invited me into your block parties and welcomed me with such kindness. 🙏🏼
