✨ Juneteenth: Freedom, Democracy & Community ✊🏾
On June 19, 1865, freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth reminds us that freedom must be protected, expanded, and lived every day. ❤️💚🖤

Democracy is more than voting — it’s speaking up 🗣️, showing up ✊🏾, and staying engaged 🗳️ in the decisions that shape our communities.

This Juneteenth, we honor the past by taking action today:
• Know your rights 📚
• Stay informed 📰
• Advocate for justice, equity, and opportunity for all 🤝🏾

Freedom is a legacy — participation is the responsibility. Let’s keep pushing forward together. ✨

African Heritage Communities, Allies & Uplifters! ✨🔥🖤

What an electrifying and power‑packed day at the Council for Minnesotans of African Heritage Day on the Hill – 2nd Annual Youth Summit! With 106 brilliant youth in the building, the culture, pride, and energy were absolutely unmatched 😎✨🔥

Deep gratitude to Congresswoman Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, Mayor Roslyn Harmon, Saint Paul Mayor Kaohly Her, City of Minneapolis Council Member Pearll Warren (Ward 5), Minnesota Legislatures, our youth and adult panel guests, and all the inspiring speakers who poured into our young leaders. 🌟🔥

Huge love to our Youth Summit Committee, amazing chaperones, and everyone who made this moment shine. 🙌🏾💛 This wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of heritage, power, and possibility. When our youth rise, we all rise. 💫🖤

What an honor to participate in the Black History Expo at Cooper High School, a powerful gathering that celebrates the strength, creativity, and history of the Black community. 🖤🔥 We’re especially proud of our Capital Pathway interns, Miss Leah and Miss Karen, who represented with grace, confidence, and purpose. Your dedication lights the path for future changemakers. 🌟 Moments like this remind us why we do the work: to uplift voices, honor legacy, and invest in the leaders shaping our future. ✊🏾 Black History in the making✨
