PARENTS BEWARE!: The Clubhouse Childcare and Preschool, located at 1041 Helmo Avenue, Oakdale, MN is being investigated for Maltreatment determined as to neglect of an alleged victim by two staff persons.
It was reported that an alleged victim left the building without staff person knowledge. The AV was without staff person supervision for at least 12 minutes and was found by law enforcement officers on June 26, 2024.
Staff persons said they thought the AV was without supervision between 5-15 minutes. However, given that the Law Enforcement Report stated the initial call from the bystander came in at 11:53 a.m. and that the facility called law enforcement at 12:04 p.m.; and considering SP1 and P2’s subsequent travel time when they went to meet LEO1, LEO2, and the AV where the AV was found; it was more likely than not that the AV was in the community without staff person supervision for at least 11 minutes, which was inconsistent with the standards of a professional caregiver in a facility licensed by the Department of Human Services, and the facility’s Risk Reduction Plan; and was also a violation of Minnesota Statutes.
All centers aren't great. Family Child care is where it's at!!

PARENTS BEWARE!! Urban Ventures Cornwell Early Learning Center, located at 2924 4th Avenue South, Minneapolis, has been investigated for Maltreatment determined as to neglect and physical abuse of nine alleged victims by a staff person, between March 28 and April 16, 2024.
It was reported that a staff person (SP) “harshly” dragged an alleged victim (AV1) by the arm which left a red mark on AV1’s arm. According to the report, this was the second incident of a similar nature within one month involving the SP and AV1. During the course of this investigation, information was obtained that showed the SP hit, pushed, and/or grabbed eight other alleged victims (AV2-AV9).
Not all centers are safe. Make sure you do your homework before you choose a childcare for your child. Family childcare is where it's at!

PARENTS BEWARE!! Mt. Carmel Childcare Center is under investigation for maltreatment of a child in their care. It is located at 1701 Saint Anthony Parkway, Minneapolis.
"It was reported that a staff person (SP) was in possession of child sexual abuse material at his/her residence and in reviewing the material, more than one picture was discovered of unclothed children from the facility."
"On August 5, 2024, the SP was arrested and later charged with possession of pornographic work involving a minor and was in possession of pictures of six AVs’ intimate parts in the facility bathroom and classroom during naptime. The SP told law enforcement that s/he took the pictures of the AVs and provided the AVs’ names to law enforcement. There was no information provided that sexual contact occurred between the SP and the AVs, including touching or pe*******on."
It was determined that the substantiated neglect and sexual abuse for which the SP was responsible was “recurring and serious” maltreatment. The SP was responsible for neglect of six AVs and was responsible for more than one instance of sexual abuse of the six AVs in the preschool classroom over an approximate one-month period.
Not all centers are safe. Please check out any where you are considering to take your children. Family childcare is where it's at!!

I just received my 3-star rating once again from Parent Aware. After all the work, classes, and more submissions than I could count, it has paid off! Sadly, it is probably the last rating I'll ever apply for. I'm still really proud of the success!! :)
