Following up an earlier post; "Grumpy Old Men (1993 film)".
The comical, Christmas Eve, Wabasha Bar Scene in Grumpy Old Men featured John and Max showcasing their lifelong rivalry, exchanging "Moron" and "Putz" greetings. The scene was filmed in the sports bar of Half Time Rec, at 1013 Front Avenue near Como Park in Saint Paul.
Half Time Rec is a Classic Scene from yesteryear. Ice fishermen have the rare opportunity in summertime to "p*e on ice" in the double ice filled urinal.
The Grumpy Old Men movie was set in Wabasha Minnesota, even though the movie was actually produced in the Twin Cities. The interior home scenes were filmed in the studios at Paisley Park.
Movie Plot;
In Wabasha, Minnesota, retirees John Gustafson and Max Goldman are feuding next-door neighbors. Living alone, spending their time trading insults, and pulling cruel practical jokes on each other.
The homes exteriors pictured in the movie were filmed in St. Paul.
