UPDATES FOR THE 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY 🎇

🎉As you celebrate, please remember that we all have a responsibility to ensure the safety of those around us as we enjoy our public spaces.

🎆All are welcome to use our parks and recreation center properties to celebrate responsibly, but use of fireworks is not permitted. Please be mindful of park areas that are currently impacted by flooding. Full list of impacts and closures can be found here: https://www.stpaul.gov/departments/parks-and-recreation/special-notices-closures

🗑️This will be a busy period for our staff. Your help in keeping our parks clean is much appreciated.

🍾With the exception of authorized picnic areas, the consumption of alcohol is prohibited at parks and recreation center properties.

🤾‍♀️All recreation centers will be closed on July 4, with the exception of 4th of July activities taking place at Langford Park Recreation Center.

🇺🇸The annual 4th in the Park parade and celebration will take place at Langford Park on July 4. The parade starts at 11am and activities including pony rides, live music, food trucks and more take place in the park throughout the afternoon. (www.4thinthepark.org)

⚾Catch the fireworks after a St. Paul Saints baseball game at CHS Field on July 3-5. (www.milb.com/st-paul/schedule/2024-07)

🎵Music in the Parks shows take place at 12pm and 3pm on July 4 at Como Lakeside Pavilion's Dock and Paddle restaurant. (dockandpaddle.com/calendar)

🦒Como Park Zoo & Conservatory will be open from 10am-6pm on July 4.

🎾Due to firework damage to several athletic courts in recent years, the following courts will be locked from 6pm-9am from July 3-7: Battle Creek, Conway, Dayton’s Bluff, Eastview, Frogtown, Groveland, Hamline Park, Hayden Heights, Hazel Park, Highwood Hills, Langford, MLK, Palace, Prosperity, Rice, and St. Clair.

💻⛷️❄️🌱🏊‍♀️ Saint Paul Parks and Recreation's new registration system launches with ski and snowboard registration opening tomorrow, Dec. 6, and winter/spring activities and winter swimming lessons on Dec. 12.

Beginning today, December 5, registrants may begin to utilize our new registration software, RecTrac, for browsing certain activities. We will kick-off the transition with ski and snowboard lesson registration opening tomorrow, December 6 at 9am (details available at https://tinyurl.com/Ski-Snowboard-Lessons-2024). Full RecTrac implementation for all sites, programs, and activities will phase in throughout the month, with Rec Services winter/spring activity registration and winter swim lesson registration opening December 12.

What can you do to help?

💻 We recommend all users create a new account in RecTrac: https://web2.myvscloud.com/wbwsc/mnsaintpaulwt.wsc/splash.html (Click the “Sign In/Register” button in the top right corner.) You will need to create a username and password as well as enter your contact information.

💾 If you have any account history you would like to save from our old system, ActiveNet, we recommend downloading or taking screen shots of anything you’d like to save for your records.

A sewer main break occurred near the service road just south of Shepard Road that runs along the east side of I-35E. Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) is in the process of repairing the sewer main. During this repair, the service road from Shepard Road along 35E will be closed; no other impacts are anticipated.

• Saint Paul Municipal Athletics and in-house sports cancelled
• Rec in Motion cancelled

Adaptive Recreation Saint Paul indoor activities are still on as planned.
