When a ransomware attack hit the City of St. Paul last July, Minnesota's preparation made the difference.

Federally funded endpoint detection technology, MNIT’s Cybersecurity Incident Reporting Portal, and established relationships with the city and the Minnesota National Guard were already in place, allowing the state to move quickly and restore services for more than 300,000 residents.

St. Paul officials share what they learned so Minnesota communities are better prepared. Read the full story:

After a ransomware attack disrupted city systems in July 2025, officials leaned on planning, partnerships and state support to restore services. Now, they're sharing their story in hopes others can learn from it.
