NINE YEARS OF TFG!!!

Together for Good has been serving vulnerable children and families for nine years! Volunteers from the local church are serving in Iowa, Minnesota, Texas, and Wisconsin and making a difference in the future of hundreds of families!

We've all seen the headlines. A child hurt. A life lost.

Our hearts break. Our fists clench. We ask, "Why wasn't something done earlier? Why did no one help?"

At Together for Good, our goal is to mobilize the local church to come alongside families in crisis before harm ever occurs. Volunteers support vulnerable families through tangible, relational support so that families stay together and children are kept safe.

Let's not have the Church stand on the sidelines of the child welfare problem. Let's have the Church lead the charge in supporting families and protecting children.

A TFG host family cared for one-year-old Colton* for over a month while his mom recovered from surgery.

This initial support—and the respite hostings Colton's received since being reunited with his mom—is what true family preservation looks like. Transformational support that lasts.

Often, people say: family preservation is the goal.

And while that is true, it can also be misleading. The goal isn't just children staying with their biological parents after a welfare call or time in foster care, and calling that success. It's supporting the whole family, so they thrive in the long term.

This is what we are doing at Together for Good.

The local church is tangibly supporting vulnerable families before government intervention or after children have been reunified to ensure long-term success.

It's not just about children being with their parents.

It's about parents having the support they need to thrive.

Charlize had made the brave decision to end an ab*sive relationship. However, her former partner told her he needed to get things from Charlize’s apartment.

With little heads-up, Charlize suddenly found herself preparing for her ex to walk back through her apartment door, and was afraid for her daughter, Selena. Her worst fear was that her ex would act out violently against Selena.

She needed a safe place for Selena to spend the night.

So, Charlize called Together for Good.
