Together for Good

Together for Good Creating pathways for the Church to come alongside vulnerable children and families in Christ-centered ministry. He invites us to walk with the hurting.

One of the greatest risk factors for child abuse and neglect is social isolation. But many assistance programs fail to provide what struggling families need most: RELATIONSHIPS. God calls His followers to defend, visit and care for the orphan and the widow. The rejected. Those who are in distress. We offer the Church unique opportunities to love struggling families in tangible ways. As we wrap aro

und vulnerable children in Christ-centered ministry, we bring hope and friendship to parents in distress. There are multiple ways this is accomplished:

CRISIS HOSTING:
Temporary hosting of vulnerable children to give parents a safe option during crisis. RESPITE:
Respite care of children for moms in distress: a few hours weekly or one weekend per month

RELATIONAL MINISTRY:
Fellowship meals, Bible study, art and writing classes, parenting classes and more. SHARED HOPE:
Walking with lonely mothers. Sharing hope and pursuing unity with our brothers and sisters in the community

So. Many. Backpacks.

We are so grateful to the partner churches and support volunteers who donated and packed backpacks for TFG participant children.

These backpacks help kids start the school year confident and ready to learn!

Putting this here before we go into the weekend. Let's make sure the Church is known as much for what it does Monday through Saturday to love others as for its Sunday worship.

There are a lot of motivational things we could say about Help Carry the Weight—and they're all true!

You have the chance to physically support families in crisis by rucking September 19-26 and raising funds to allow more parents and children to receive life-changing support.

It's more than a workout. It's keeping families together.

They kept saying: "someday."

Someday, when their kids were older.

Someday, when life felt more stable.

With four kids of their own—all under six years of age—Allison and Donavon Sundquist resisted becoming a Together for Good host family at first.

“We always knew we wanted to help where we could but always kicked the can down the road, thinking we weren’t ready,” Allison recalled. “We were scared, we were nervous.”

But God took that fear and proved Himself enough to not only support the Sundquists, but strengthen them as they supported other families through Together for Good.
