Who will lead the state's newest fraud-fighting agency?
The search for those candidates begins today!

The bipartisan commission charged with recruiting and recommending candidates for Minnesota's new Office of Inspector General meets for the first time today at 10 AM.

The leader of this office will safeguard the integrity, accountability, and transparency of state agencies and programs, as well as establish and enforce statewide standards for fraud prevention.

A new state park honoring Melissa and Mark Hortman could be coming to the Capitol grounds, and some of that work starts today.

The Melissa and Mark Hortman Memorial State Park working group meets for the first time today. The group will develop recommendations, prepare a full report, and draft legislation for the park and its funding.

Victims of deep-fake 'nudification' technology will soon be able to seek justice against those who have harmed them.

Starting Saturday, August 1, individuals and organizations that develop or use AI tools capable of producing hyper-realistic, explicit content may face lawsuits and financial penalties.

Senator Erin Maye Quade, who wrote the bipartisan bill that passed unanimously in the Senate, joins advocates at 10:30 AM today to share more details about the new state ban and fines.

At the Senate, our mission is to serve every Minnesotan - and that includes making accessibility a priority.

Today, in recognition of Disability Pride Month, the Legislative Coordinating Commission hosted an Accessibility Experience Lab for the Minnesota Legislature. Participants had the chance to engage with various accessibility challenges and learn new tools to help ensure all Minnesotans can fully interact with and participate in their government.

Around 60% of Minnesota’s Medicaid providers offering high-risk services were dropped from the state’s program as a result of the Department of Human Services' revalidation efforts. At a Senate Human Services Committee meeting, Senators asked DHS leadership for answers, while people affected by those disenrollments talked about their experiences as a result of those actions.
