In this month of Mother’s Day, we continue our salute to all the moms past and present. Here’s a great memory of a Mother’s Day memorial donor when asked for a lesson that stays with her:
“I remember shopping at a big box store with her when she was maybe 90 years old. I accidentally dropped a bag of tortilla chips. As I reached to pick it up, she muttered, ‘And don’t you dare put that back on the shelf.’ Great lesson - you dropped it, it’s yours. Don’t pass onto a stranger what you wouldn’t want.”
Here’s to all the mothers and their legacy of treating others well. Here’s too to all the Second Stork volunteers that treat mothers in need so well.
