🏡 National Homeownership Month is a time to celebrate the stability, opportunity, and hope that homeownership can create for families.💙

For Habitat homeowner Anne, owning a home meant she was back in the driver's seat of her own life. She finally had a space to make her own by planting raspberry bushes, displaying travel photos, and picking out paint colors. And she has a place to build stability and invest in her future.

"My vision of what’s possible is coming true, and I have a sense of accomplishment," Anne says.

Anne's journey is a powerful reminder that homeownership is about so much more than four walls. It’s about having the chance to thrive.

The Minnesota Twins and Securian Financial proudly announced Patch with Purpose: a $100,000 annual donation to support five local nonprofits. This year, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is honored to be one of the beneficiaries, alongside Boys & Girls Club of the Twin Cities, Special Olympics Minnesota, Junior Achievement North and Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities.🤝

"The Patch with Purpose program reflects our commitment to serving in our community and to building secure tomorrows," said Tariq Malik, Chief Diversity Officer of Securian Financial.

Twin Cities Habitat has 19 active Regular Crews building on sites across the metro area, dozens of individual Regular Volunteers, and a ReStore Regular Crew focused on supporting each ReStore location the metro. Here's a staggering fact about our "Regs":

🌟Regular Volunteers make up less than 5% of our annual volunteer base but contribute nearly 50% of collective volunteer hours to Twin Cities Habitat each year!🌟

Most of our Regular Volunteer Crews ("Regs") are retiree-aged individuals dedicating their time to recurrent volunteerism, and giving back to the Twin Cities community they’ve lived in for decades. We wouldn't be able to do our work without their support.🙏
